Entire Luxury House to Yourself
Guest(s) will have entire house to themselves and can use one bedroom. Once one bedroom is reserved, the other bedrooms will be blocked. No other guests will be in the house and the host does not live in the house.
This is the perfect house for guests wishing to be close to Washington, D.C., Arlington, or Old Town Alexandria. Wonderful restaurants and a cozy bakery are within walking distance. Parking is free with no restrictions on the street right in front of the house.
I am a coffee fanatic so I enjoy providing free whole bean coffee and Nespresso pods.
August Smart Lock on the front door and you enter a code to open your bedroom door.
Easy access to DC, Old Town Alexandria and the Braddock Road Metro Station. Ample street parking right in front of house. 15 minute walk or 3 minute car ride to Braddock Road Metro station. Scooter and bike rentals are located on Mount Vernon Avenue only two blocks from the house.

Charming neighborhood. Many people walk, run, or walk their dogs in the neighborhood. Nearby neighbors are extremely friendly….feel free to say hello to any of the neighbors.
This is a three story house situated in an adorable neighborhood in Alexandria called DelRay. The house has a family room, dining room and kitchen on the main floor. The second floor has two bedrooms and a full bath with shower and tub. The basement has one bedroom, a full bath with shower and tub and a laundry room.
You will not share the house, bathrooms or any part of the house with anyone else.
There is a large backyard and a deck with pergola that has a gorgeous teak dining table with stylish outdoor chairs. There is a gas grill so you can grill steaks or some fresh seafood.
August Locks: Please accept the invite from August Lock and download the August app onto your cell phone. Once downloaded, you can use the August app to lock and unlock the front and back doors. Please note that from the inside of the house, you can manually turn the August Lock dial to lock or unlock the deadbolt.
Hard key(s) for those guests who prefer an old fashioned key to lock or unlock the doors. You can access keys by opening the key lockbox outside the front door attached to the railing. My key lockbox is the newer one on the right. The code is 8462.
Samsung Smart TV’s: If you log into your own accounts (such as Netflix or Hulu), please remember to log out before you check out.
Nespresso Machine: There are instructions right behind the Nespresso machine. You can make espresso drinks or milk based cappuccinos or lattes. Make sure the small black tube is pointed into your coffee cup that dispenses the milk. There are small espresso cups and larger cappuccino cups in the cupboard above the sink.
Before departure: You do not have to strip beds or start any laundry. Towels and washcloths can be left in the bathrooms. Please take all trash to the trash cans in the alley behind the back yard. Please start the dishwasher.
Trash: In the alley behind the backyard, you will find trash cans. General waste can be put in the trash cans and there are separate trash cans for items to be recycled.
On/off switch for string lights: located on the corner post closest to the house.
Outdoor fan by outdoor table: Pull on the chain to turn the fan on. Pull on chain to increase the fan speed or to turn it off. You may need to press the “Reset” button on the electrical cord before you pull on the chain to start the fan.
Gas grill: To turn on the propane tank, turn the knob to open on top of the propane tank. When you are finished, please turn the knobs to off position and turn the knob to closed position on top of the propane tank. Open the grill hood, turn a burner on to get gas flowing and then press the red ignition lighter switch.
Nest Thermostat: to adjust the Nest thermostat in the dining room, touch the screen to illuminate the screen. Then you can touch the right side of the thermostat and push up for a higher temperature or down for a lower temperature. If you want to switch between modes (heat, AC, etc.), touch on the right side of the Nest thermostat and push up or down to find the mode, then go up and down to find the mode you want, then do a final press to select that mode.
Light switch for laundry room: There is a pull chain for the light that hangs down from the light fixture above and to the right of the washing machine.
Dehumidifier in basement: The dehumidifier will automatically turn off if the catch basin is full. To empty the catch basin, simply pull out the tray at the bottom and discard the water in the sink. Push tray back into the dehumidifier and it should turn back on.
